Cedric's conflicting ideas of pride is bothersome because he overly stresses about religion and school and the advice I would give him to overcome this habit. First reason is that Cedric was doing great and taking real pride in screaming the answers out in class, but then his pride is halted when he remembers the reading and speech that Bishop gave in Church. Cedric remembered this and he tensed up and went on a mental tangent about the sin of pride, so he gets mixed up with feelings and falls into depression. Another reason that Cedric is becoming overly stressed about his prides is because when he goes on this mental tangent his self-esteem drops and he wonders more on if he is doing well than actually taking pride is his work. Also I would give him one important piece of advice, which is that he is taking the balance of religion and school, no life in general way to seriously. He struggles, get emtional, and panics when he contiplates if he is being a good member of the chruch.

Classwork Paragraph
A statement made by Barbara: “The problem with black people is that if someone gets a little more than them, everybody jump on him saying he thinks he’s better and all”. Do you find that statement true, and how can Hope in the Unseen motivate you to rise above the fray and leave the haters behind?
The quote “The problem with black people is that if someone gets a little more than them, everybody jump on him saying he thinks he’s better and all” is true due to the fact that they usually are a minority and judge each other instead of helping give a sign of gratitude . Cedric Jennings in A Hope in the Unseen is proof of that, and someone like you may be able to accomplish this with a few reasons. First is that someone of minority in a school that does not have an abundant who don’t graduate, but the student is not a minority by race at all. For example, for someone like Cedric’s social status he was called “whitey” which meant that he was classed by the rest of the school as a white kid because of his smarts. In addition, for someone made fun of their smarts and intellect should not take it personally and keep going because they will find themselves in a great and successful paying job. Next I agree with his quote is because he Cedric realized how people treated him physically for it, one time he got beat up by someone for the sake of a calculator that he won. The reason why was because the wanted to be able to use it and Cedric said no. In addition, to be able to keep those people away from you is key, try to not even say a word to them because if you acknowledge them by answering them you could get in trouble, but by keeping on walking you won’t have to usually deal with someone. Finally I agree with his quote is because I went to a school where I was a minority and had to deal with it going on in my school. Also I had to deal with friends who would fight like this because someone was better than someone else, which usually got me stuck in the middle, talk about a rock stuck in between a hard place. In addition someone can be motivated to avoid this fighting is step in and talk with them and have a peer meeting discussing both of their success.

Spring Semester 2010
Once again I find myself using this blog for class work, what a great shocker. To all my classmates that are in my new spring semester class hello and I will post on who am I and what I do. For all my friends from last Semester whats up everyone no one bothers to say hey happy holidays lol jk I did not either was all involved with my family :p . Ok so on to the introductions, my name is John Kilmer, I am 18 years old and live in Silver Spring and grew up here all my life. I attended Northwood High School and was the Schools Mascot the Gladiator, boy that was fun and hard. Coming into College has really changed my life but yet it has not. If you all come down to the Communications Arts building form 3 pm-6 pm I am literally beating on people with foam weapons. You all who read this is prolly thinking why I would do this. It's a club called Medieval 
club. Yes I am a glorified pillow fighter ;) Also I do love to Ice Skate and skate almost every Friday night or try to at least. I am also an Otaku which is a an anime fan. I reccently attended a convention in the national harbor at the Gaylord Resort, which I have dressed up as the characters from certain animes and posted below.

In the movie King Corn we watched how geneticall enhanced corn is grown for our food. Well I kne that most of what we eat has some sot of corn in it and that our meat is fed corn for growing process. This goes as well as Chew on this. But for the things I did not know were many of disgustng and vulgar stuff that goes into our food. Like in the book Chew on This I learned about the paste liek stuff that goes into our chicken nugets. Also that the horrible work envoirment, for example the guy getting his figersgrinded up ina a grinder. To worst part about that is that he did not have an insurance fropm the chicken farm company, which ,akes that a horriblke work envoirment. In the movie King Corn we ( as in the class) saw what was put into the meat we eat. We sawe the University of Iowa the cow that was fed corn feed. Also that the cows consume 70% of the antiboitics in the world. That means we the people of the world consumes only 30% that's to small.
The way I can change the thsi is 2 ways one that is ilegal and the other way us that we could have an awareness meeting to tellpeopel of the stuff they are eating and what we should do to change it. We could do a documenatry of people that dont know and have them eta it and then tell them what is in it.

What did I eat? What did you eat? What did we all eat?
Morning guys,
Today is a nice day, but cloudy with a chance of meatballs. That's right I aw the movie, but more importantly I had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner Wednesday night. They were really good for home made ones I made for the first time. Also the main thing that I consumed was Japanese and Chinese cuisine like Gyoza, a fired dumpling, Miso soup, "Real" Ramen, Squid, frog legs, and finally Sushi.
Where did I consume all this? Well I went to a restaurant in dtss called the blue pearl. It's a nice size all you can at Japanese/ Chinese buffet with Ramen bar. Last night for dinner my lil twin bothers turned 10 yesterday. For there birthday dinner we ate Hot dogs, pasta salad, and green beans with almonds in butter sauce, oh and you cant forget the birthday cakes. That's right they each got one so double the sugar plus the 4 trash bags of candy, 1 for each of the siblings = oh my god hard sleep. *sigh*
